THE WINNER!

During my design process I aimed to keep the classic imagery of the ticket, as well as the yellow and blue colour scheme. Due to their iconic connotations with the brand, this would create immediate recognition for previous customers of Blockbuster.

I adapted the colours of the original logo, darkening the blue and brightening the yellow, creating a more vibrant contrast. One which is eye-catching and more comfortable to read. As well as this I added a subtle three-dimensional effect to the logo due to the rise in popularity of 3D text within a lot of design and media. Making this a subtle feature of the design gives the logo dominance  when used on top of images, as well appeals to a younger audience that possibly is not as familiar with the Blockbuster brand.
